About the Service
Victoria Court is a nursing home providing accommodation, care, rehabilitation and resettlement for 8 people aged between 16-65 who have mental health needs. Victoria Court also provides 3 step down placements for people requiring short stay support. We support adults with mental health conditions to regain control of their lives and reach their full potential. Our person-centred approach to care means we`ll develop personalised mental health support plans to help with all aspects of daily life.
In your new role as Mental Health Nurse, you will:
- Support customers with Mental Health needs and behaviours that
- challenge to maximise their potential and lead ordinary lives and to move into
- the community in line with the service objectives and customer statement.
- Have excellent leadership and communication skills together with an understanding of changing emotional and physical needs.
- Undertake staff supervision and identify own/others development needs, whilst managing change and people.
- Be responsible for providing and supporting the delivery of evidence based and clinically effective practice. The service provides holistic care and support to customers to rehabilitate into the local community.
As Mental Health Nurse, you will ideally have:
- Demonstrable experience of working with adults within the specifiedclient group
- Experience of supporting and motivating a staff team
- This post holder must have either of the following qualification RNMH
- Minimum of one years post registration
- Experience of budgets; preparation and management
