Work has started on our first development in Bristol

Bonnington Pic NEW

We have started work on an exciting new development in Bristol. The development, named Bonnington is our first development in this local authority area.

We’re working with Legal & General to provide 93 affordable homes at Bonnington, Lockleaze, Bristol. They will be affordable homes, with 55 available for social rent and 38 for shared ownership. They will be a mix of flats, two, three and four-bedroom houses and two-bedroom bungalows.

All, except the four-bedroom and wheelchair accessible homes will be modular homes. This off-site construction will mean the homes can be built cleaner, quicker, and with less waste compared to traditional build.

The new homes have been designed for maximum energy efficiency with all 93 benefitting from solar panels; helping to reduce the future residents’ carbon footprint and energy bills, air source heat pumps; a low maintenance and more environmentally friendly alternative to gas boilers, resulting in an Energy Performance Certificate rating of A; which will minimise energy consumption and reduce carbon emissions.

Our New Business and Development Manager Peter Crouch said: “This is a significant new venture for GreenSquareAccord to provide 93 much needed affordable homes, our first major delivery in Bristol and also our first using modular construction with Legal & General.

“With an excellent energy performance specification as standard our customers will see benefits in low running costs at a time when it is needed the most”.

The homes will be ready in November with our first handovers to the new residents taking place towards the end of that month.

Homes for social rent will be let through Bristol City Council’s Home Choice system, while our shared ownership properties will be sold by GreenSquareAccord, who are encouraging people to register their interest by calling 01249 478910 or emailing sales@greensquareaccord.co.uk.
