We're here to help

Anyone can be a victim of domestic abuse. Our domestic violence services protect women, men and children who are experiencing abuse at home.

We have a range of services to support you, whether you need help leaving an abusive home or rebuilding your life after domestic abuse.

We provide emergency short-term accommodation for women and men, with or without children, who are escaping abuse. We also offer extensive community-based support as you’re settling into your new home.

Domestic abuse support from other organisations

If you’re not ready to reach out to us, there are a range of support agencies that can help you.

Refuge

Refuge is the largest domestic abuse organisation in the UK. They help women and their children overcome the impacts of abuse and rebuild their lives.

Women's Aid

Women's Aid support women and children experiencing domestic abuse. Their Survivor's Handbook provides practical support and guidance on finding the help you need.

You can talk to a trained female support worker using their online chat service. They will help you explore your options for support and offer advice to keep you and your children safe.

ManKind Initiative

The ManKind Initiative specialises in supporting male victims of domestic abuse and violence. They can provide emotional support, practical information, and signpost you to support services.

Respect

Respect work with perpetrators, male victims, and young people using violence in their close relationships.

They run the Men's Advice Line, a confidential helpline for male victims of domestic abuse. Their advisors can provide emotional support and direct you to services to help keep you safe.

Galop

Galop specialises in supporting LGBT+ people who are victims of domestic abuse. They can help you find the support you need to move on from abuse.

Their helpline is operated by LGBT+ people who are trained and experienced in working with LGBT+ victims.
