New defibrillator is installed at Croft Court, Chippenham

Defibrillator

Earlier this year our supplier, Bamford Doors, launched a mini competition for any housing provider, association, council or local government to win a defibrillator for their community.

Participants had to send in a short summary of their chosen site and why they felt their site would benefit the most.

We were the lucky winners and Croft Court located in Chippenham, Wiltshire have received their new defibrillator.

Our Group Planned Operations Manager, Mike Hucker, nominated the site as he felt that Croft Court would benefit hugely from a defibrillator for both the immediate tenants, users and anyone in the wider community.

Croft Court provides supported housing to a number of customers and has a larger development of over 55 properties ranging from bungalows, flats and houses.

Bamford Doors provided the outdoor cabinet along with the defibrillator unit so that the device can be stored outside and accessed by everyone.

Our contractors, RP Electrical, installed the electrical supply to the cabinet.

Mike Hucker said: “The provision of a lifesaving device to one of our many schemes in Chippenham is hopefully something that will never require use but just knowing it could potentially save a life offers a huge amount of comfort.

“We have placed it within a large development of mixed property types with access to it for the surrounding area. The site has recently had an internal and external re-decoration programme carried out and this potentially lifesaving device has finished off the site and made it complete.

“I would like to thank Bamford Doors for supplying the defibrillator and also RP Electrical for carrying out the installation.”

Bamford Doors South West Area Manager, Tony Bopko said “Working in partnership with GreenSquareAccord to provide security and reassurance for their buildings, customers and tenants has been a wonderful journey so far and I look forward to the times ahead where we can further build on this relationship.”
