We recently handed over keys for six shared ownership homes in the larger Cotswold Gate development built by Lioncourt Homes.

The affordable homes at Cotswold Gate, purchased by us, meet a variety of housing need by providing one, two, and three-bedroom dwellings.

We own 45 homes in total at Cotswold Gate with 32 for affordable rent and another 13 made available under a shared ownership scheme.

The development boasts a new fully equipped play area for young children as well as designated parking spaces and private gardens for residents in the affordable homes.

Peter Crouch, Head of Development , said: “We are delighted to have helped local residents find their new homes in the picturesque Windrush Valley which they otherwise might have been priced out of.

“Through our involvement in this scheme, we have provided much needed affordable homes in a highly desirable area to live in. The homes at Cotswold Gate are well-appointed, beautifully presented and are located in a peaceful setting with great transport links.

“We wish the incoming residents every happiness in their new homes.”

The Cotswold Gate development is well situated with Burford High Street just a few minutes’ drive away and the conveniences of the larger town of Witney less than 8 miles down the A40.

Pat Winslow, who will soon be moving into her home at Cotswold Gate, said: “Some new build estates I’ve looked at are a bit generic and soulless. Cotswold Gate is different. A lot of thought has gone into the planning - everything from hedgehog routes to a care home with a cafe.

“I wanted something with a sense of community, and this already has a friendly feel. I’m looking forward to moving in. I’m delighted with the house and its lovely sunny position. I know I shall be very happy here.”

The recently arrived residents at Cotswold Gate have the family-run Burford Garden Centre on their doorstep as well as a range of independent businesses on Burford High Street including a butchers, bakery and delicatessen.

The site has bus stops outside and directly opposite with regular services to Burford, Witney, Cirencester and Woodstock. The nearest rail station is Shipton which is less than 15 minutes away.

The Cotswold Gate development also contains homes designed and reserved for over 55s.
