New affordable homes planned for Wolverhampton

Springvale development in Bilston Wolverhampton

GreenSquareAccord has submitted a planning application for a new development of affordable homes in Bilston, Wolverhampton.

The development will transform a disused part of Springvale Sports and Social Club house into 57 affordable homes, comprising a mix of one and two bedroom apartments for affordable rent for local people.

The new homes will be built using sustainable timber frames manufactured and supplied by our LoCaL Homes facility in Walsall. A fabric first approach has been taken to the design of the apartments which will help customers save money on their heating bills.

Michael Nolan, Head of Development at GreenSquareAccord added “We are delighted to be bringing forward the next phase of development in the locality to provide high quality accommodation for local residents. With ongoing support from Homes England and the City of Wolverhampton we are looking forward to staring on site later this year”.

Known as Springvale, this is the second phase of our regeneration of the area, with the first phase being the transformation of legacy Accord offices into affordable apartments.

The scheme is due to receive £1.9m funding support from Homes England with work expected to start on site in March 2023, and to be completed by March 2025.
